There are numerous activities that can make the Tagus estuary: hiking, boating, among many others. It is one of the areas of Portugal's richest eco system where you can see an amazing number of birds. From mid-November to late March, seabirds such as tailors, flamingos, ducks, herons, plovers, sandpipers and geese. In spring and summer, during nesting, you can see mosquitoes, sandpipers, ducks, terns and dwarf sea-partridges-the sea.
